XRC-152, a dual band VHF / UHF radio that is simple, uniquely capable and unreasonably durable.

Features:

  • Function Switch:
    -PT (Plain text): Transmissions are unencrypted, intelligible to any other device on the same frequency.
    -LD (Load): Programming mode used with programming cable and Communications Programming Application.
    -CT (Cipher text): Transmissions are encoded by a voice scrambler. Transmissions received will be unintelligible to any XRC or TCA device not in CT mode, or any incompatible radio.

  • Max power 10W (18650 Battery case) or 15W (Harris OEM battery)

  • Battery case holds 4x 18650 battery cells, also user serviceable and repairable with commercial off the shelf batteries.

  • Charging base with USB-A port functions as a battery bank to charge your other electronics.

  • Repeater / Relay functions as UHF/VHF repeater. Radio has Speaker ON/OFF Option when used as repeater.

  • Automatic frequency mode allows the user to find the corresponding frequency and DCS/CTCSS code when the user places another radio conveniently and accurately in proximity to the XC-152.

  • Programming:
    -Front faceplate programable:
    Allows the end user to program frequencies into 128 channels by manually imputing the data with the keypad.
    -PC software programmable:
    Allows the user to program frequencies and other settings using the provided CPA, Communications Planning Software. This program allows to user to efficiently programing multiple radios quickly and can even send files to other users to install the same payload into their radios remotely. Install future software updates as they become available.

Other information:

  • The repeater function allows the user to transmit a UHF or VHF signal and then the radio with relay the transmission in the opposite spectrum. If you transmit UHF, it will relay in VHF and vice versa. It cannot receive UHF and relay UHF, and same applies for VHF.

  • The knob on the top of the radio only has decals to mimic a “channel” knob, but its only function is to adjust the volume.
