-
No there is not an issue, we do not charge additional for tax, even to Florida residents!
However, this may be subject to change in the future if necessary.

We are diligently working on an option for 2, and 1 day shipping; it is complicated and tedious. Until then, please contact us via email or phone so we can discuss your options and provide the best rates available.

No, the XRC-152 does not share any circuit boards, software or hardware with Baofeng radios. This is a common misnomer and misinformation that is disseminated throughout the internet by noncredible individuals that regurgitate rumors and false information without conducting research.
The only “152" style radio” that is a Baofeng in a “152 shell or body” is the AR-152.
-
Yes, the XRC-152 can communicate with other radios in PT (Plain text mode). However, in CT (Cipher text mode), transmissions will be encoded and unintelligible to other radios.
-
Frequency propagation is, complicated.
The range in which your radio will have will depend on how much obstruction is between you, the transceiver, and the other person you are communicating with, the receiver.
For a tangible answer, the metric used to gauge a radio’s performance, under a controlled environment with no other variables, can be assumed by the quality of the antenna and its power output that is measured in watts.
Short answer: It can be very far but it can also be very limited depending on your environment and any obstructions between each radio.
Under perfect conditions, it can be as far as 25 miles or further if you have pure line of sight with no obstructions.
In some dense urban environments, it can be as short as a few hundred meters.
-
Technically speaking yes. However, that answer would causes implications by providing a false sense of security and potentially be misleading, our ultimate answer is no; the XRC-152 is not an encrypted radio.
“Encryption” Is the process of converting information or data into a code, especially to prevent unauthorized access. -Oxford Languages
The CT mode uses a voice scrambler that transmits frequencies that have been obfuscated and cannot be decrypted unless the receiving radio is an XRC-152 or TCA 152 2023 radio on the CT mode. (Not compatible with TRI 152)
However, even though this does not provide a sophisticated level of encoding such as AES 256 encryption. We believe it provides enough privacy for the practical end user, as far as we understand, it is not something the average civilian can decode with a commercial off the shelf SDR and readily available information.
Regardless of any radio’s capability, whether it be a cheap walkie talkie radio or Harris PRC-152, every user should exercise signal discipline and OPSEC (Operational Security). Fundamentals of signal security are not just simply substituted with higher encryption protocols. Know your MET-TC, capabilities, and grasp some sense of reality.

If you purchase an authentic and genuine TCA 152 2023 model, they are the same exact radio, ours are only engraved for warranty and marketing purposes.
The XRC-152 is a rebranded TCA-152
Also, soon, all XRC-152 radios will be removing “Harris” and “Falcon III” logos and designs for legal and trademark infringement purposes.

You will have to do your research and confirm if the origin of those radios is genuine TCA manufacturing with the most recent hardware (2023). Here at EXODUS Comms, we source our radios directly from TCA manufacturing and cannot confirm the authenticity of other sellers.
Most of those sellers are selling directly from China, which the shipping times may take 3-6 weeks to arrive, our product is located here in the US, with standard shipping will allow you to have it in about 1 week.
We provide stateside support and most of our products are backed by a limited lifetime warranty. Our customer service, professionalism and English are unmatched.
If you appreciate what our small business provides and stands for, your purchase supports us and our continuation of business!
-
Free men do not ask for permission. Regardless, it is none of our business what you do with the radios you purchase from us.
We don not provide legal advice, do your research on your federal and state laws at your discretion. Your compliance is your own decision.
However, officially we do not condone the act of illegal activities so keep your business to yourself. We have no interest in hearing or entertaining such information. Hypothetical questions are acceptable.
-
We cannot confirm or deny. But hypothetically if it did work, you would likely damage the hardware, prevent the radio from being read by the programming cable / comm port / software, break the radio and void the warranty.
-
We are currently not offering MIL / LEO discounts.
One of EXODUS Comm’s top priority is providing affordable and reasonable prices to our consumers.
Our low cost of shipping charges, nonadditional tax, warranty support and extremely competitive prices are reflected back to you.
-
We do not plan on stocking the GPS model because we simply do not believe in it being a practical radio.
It consumes a significant amount of power.
The format of coordinates are only displayed in latitude / longitude.
Its mostly a gimmick and provides very little value. You are better suited just using an external GPS or phone for location data.
However, location data is able to be sent and received automatically when transmitted but you will still have to convert the lat / long format into MGRS to make the data useful.
It is possible to make a special order, please contact us for more information.
-
No, we will not service, repair or warranty radios and accessories that are not original EXODUS Comms products.
However, most of our products retain a transferable warranty and we will honor any secondhand products you purchase that are original EXODUS Comms products, all units are verified through serial numbers and order numbers.
-
No, our radios, just like the real PRC 152s, are low impedance radios, meaning you can use standard military NATO PTTs in conjunction with this radio and your headset.
Even though our radio is compatible with most military commercial off the shelf PTTs, we can only guarantee the PTT products that we provide to be compatible.
